Out of Chaos an organizing newsletter

The Book

By the time you read this, Organized Enough should be on bookstore shelves and those pre-orders (thank you!) should be shipping out. I’ve waited for this moment for a long time, and I’ve done a bit of shameless (shameful?) self-promotion, but one thing I haven’t done is really explain what the book is about.

Many friends and clients have assumed that the book is a compilation of these newsletters—it isn’t. Still others have asked (hoped?) that it was a tell-all, à la The Nanny Diaries. Definitely not! You know me better than that.

While many of the themes in the book will be familiar to anyone who reads this newsletter frequently, the book stands alone. Some of my former English teachers will be pleasantly surprised to see that it has a thesis, a structure and a conclusion. The book is divided into two sections. The first part introduces seven concepts that will help you think differently about your clutter, because you can’t really hope to change if you keep thinking in the same way. The second half of the book introduces seven habits that you can develop (I tell you how!) to maintain those changes.

What are the seven habits? Are you kidding? Buy the book!

And if you are in Manhattan today, come to my first book signing, tonight at 6 p.m. at the Corner Bookstore!
